Ralph and his mother enjoy talking about their family members using their Nixplay frames

And so right now, I'm the administrator of three frames. I decide which pictures go on which playlist, and which playlist goes to each frame.
My mother's in an assisted living place, and she has pictures, regular pictures like I have back here. I can't possibly put all the pictures of all the people out on the walls. So my mother gave me a box of like 300 pictures to scan and to put on the picture frame.
By having all these pictures, it brings back a lot of the long-term memories. And people have much better long-term memories than short-term memories. So the Nixplay helps relive some memories.
She had pictures of a lot of people that I didn't even know. And my mother had to tell me, this is this person, this is how it's related to you. Plus it reminded me of some of the pictures that I haven't seen in a long time.
I was watching myself being a barista. I was watching myself going through all these different life type of things. It's almost like watching a TV show.
Just doing the pictures has taught me a lot about my family. And I don't think that would have been done without the frame because there's no reason to do it without the frame.
I wasn't going to duplicate the picture, like print them all out again. Therefore, it's much better to have a Nixplay frame, which she looks at a lot. It brought me a lot of joy because I was doing things that both I liked and my mother liked. And it's just another way of communicating.
NOTE: Nixplay has renamed it’s ‘playlists’ functionality to ‘albums’ since this article was first published
